THE PILGRIM SCHOOL VISION
Proud to be … forever Pilgrim
Jesus said, “I have come in order that you might have life—life in all its fullness.” (John 10:10)
This is the precept upon which our Pilgrim School is founded. We are committed to enabling each member of our community to flourish.
Following the role model of Christ, we constantly strive to be His pilgrims:
forever compassionate, caring and inclusive,
forever aspiring and adventurous,
forever us …
… forever Pilgrim.
The Pilgrim School is a Church School based at Warwick Crescent in Borstal, Rochester, Kent.
The school is proud to be a Christian environment whose Values of Respect, Forgiveness, Trust, Compassion, Wisdom and Perseverance shape it's decision-making and ethos.
The school is a vibrant and forward-thinking organisation that is always looking for new and invigorating ways to ensure children achieve high standards.
The school site is used extensively as a resource to deliver the curriculum. The play areas, both tarmac and grass, are a credit and offer plenty of opportunity for play, nature observations and PE activities. Beyond the school, we use the village of Borstal to explore geographical and historical principles that allow the children to see themselves as part of a much wider community.
Parents and children who are new to the school will be shown around by a member of staff to familiarise themselves with the layout of the buildings.
There is a monthly newsletter which will be published online under the heading Newsletters. It can also be emailed to you or sent as a hard copy with your child; please request these through the school office. The newsletter will keep you informed about forthcoming events, teaching points and any organisational changes.
